Release Notes

This is a console application tool, which allows to Build up Syncronized proxy class from wcf proxy, generated by visual studio for SilverLight project.

How To Use

Download the exe file and place it where you want. The application needs the path of the file (wich contains proxy classes) as argument. Easest way to use this tool is to it to include it as an external tool to visual studio environment. To do this go to Tools->External Tools->Add. Point command to downloaded exe file, for example C:\Program Files\jinek\jSLCoreSyncProxyGenerator\jSLCore.SyncWCFChannelGenerator.exe, and add argument: $(ItemPath), please check "Use Output window", cause the tool can report on errors. Now you can generate synced proxy: after you add a service reference, click "show all files" and expand it, then expand Reference.svcmap and point to Reference.CS. Now Click Tools->"{The Title you provide for the tool}". At this moment the tool should run and output window will provide you some unusable information, click refresh in solution explorer window. If everything is right-> file ReferenceSynced.cs was generated, right click on it-> Include in project. It's done!

Run-time proxy

Additionaly jSLCore contains project jSLCore.Client.Communication. It can create Synced proxy runtime, by providing to it Service Inteface. So you can add you service interface to SilverLight project as a link and use it for synced proxy. You can download jSLCore release and use it.
